Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our construction project team. This role involves supporting the Project Management team in managing and estimating construction projects, ensuring the successful completion of engineering projects, and maintaining project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.
  • Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
  • Review drawings for correctness and assemble details necessary to prepare job bid proposals.
  • Develop relationships with sub-contractors and interact with them to secure necessary information for job bids.
  • Support the Project Manager in collecting information to complete the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report.
  • Assist with projecting and adhering to job budget and timing of tasks.
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and addressing issues.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Travel to job site locations when necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Update project database and support the Project Manager in answering customer inquiries.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.
  • Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor.
  • 2+ years of experience in the construction field, with experience in leading projects up to $2.5M in scope.
  • 1-4 years of experience in APM or Project Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, RFI, Change Order, Estimation, Project Engineering.
  • Experience in Mechanical Construction, MEP, Mission Critical, Data Center, Commercial.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite in Haskell, Texas. The role involves working in a typical office environment with occasional field travel. A per diem of $3,400 per month is provided for onsite work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $47.00/hr.
