Job Description
This Estimator role focuses on preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for architectural scopes on industrial, semiconductor, clean room, and hightech projects. You will develop conceptual and detailed estimates, coordinate closely with preconstruction and project teams, and support value engineering and scheduling efforts to ensure projects are competitively priced, well planned, and aligned with client expectations. Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of estimates across architectural scopes for industrial, semiconductor, clean room, and hightech projects.
- Develop conceptual, detailed, and selfperform work estimates with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of the estimating process, including pricing strategy, scheduling inputs, and final submission of bids.
- Identify, prequalify, and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers for bid participation.
- Build and maintain strong, longterm relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and other partners.
- Collaborate closely with preconstruction and project teams throughout the estimating process to ensure alignment on scope, budget, and schedule.
- Assist in establishing pricing assumptions and cost inputs for final estimates.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, cost projections, and subcontractor quote evaluations, including consideration of taxes, labor agreements, and permitting requirements.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify project scope, specifications, and requirements.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the bid and preconstruction phases.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to fully understand project scope, design intent, and technical requirements.
- Ensure all team members remain aligned with initial project specifications and any subsequent updates or clarifications.
- Analyze historical project data to inform current estimating strategies and improve future pricing accuracy.
- Participate in building system evaluations and selection to support costeffective and technically sound design solutions.
- Support value engineering efforts to optimize cost, constructability, and design efficiency without compromising quality.
- Assist with project scheduling and timeline planning by providing realistic durations and resource assumptions tied to the estimate.
- Present and defend estimates to clients and partners, clearly explaining assumptions, methodologies, and cost drivers.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail when working with blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction plans.
- Work closely with senior estimators to receive training, mentorship, and feedback, and apply this guidance to continuously improve estimating practices.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, ethical business practices, and collaborative teamwork in all interactions.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably within clean room, semiconductor, facilities, or hightech environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for developing, organizing, and analyzing estimates.
- Experience with construction estimating software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, OST, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and key cost drivers.
- Handson experience performing quantity takeoffs and analyzing subcontractor bids.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, architectural plans, and specifications with a high level of detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Analytical and problemsolving skills to evaluate options, identify risks, and propose costeffective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- A strong work ethic and eagerness to learn, with the ability to be trained and mentored by senior estimators.
- Solid foundation in construction, semiconductor, facilities, and estimation principles.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50/hr.
