Senior Building Inspector

SENIOR BUILDING INSPECTOR

Under general supervision by the Chief Building Official, the purpose of the position is to ensure compliance of the City and State Building Codes. Employees in this classification perform skilled level work. Position is responsible for inspecting and certifying new, existing, and altered buildings and structures. Performs related work as required.

The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain Class C Driver's License.
• TSBPE inspector's license.
• ICC Commercial and/or Residential Combination Inspectors Certification or ability to obtain on 12 months.
