With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together. Role Description: Arcadis is actively seeking a Senior Construction Manager to support projects across the New York City Metropolitan Area. In this role, you will be part of our Construction Management (CM) team, delivering current and future NYCDEP construction management projects that are critical to the region's water supply and wastewater infrastructure. This is an opportunity to contribute to some of New York City's most impactful infrastructure initiatives while supporting Arcadis' continued leadership in the industry. Role Accountabilities: As a Senior Construction Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex, multi-contract construction management projects, ensuring successful execution across scope, schedule, budget, and quality. You will provide strategic oversight of project teams, contractors, and stakeholders while driving performance, maintaining compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure programs. Key Responsibilities: * Lead construction and project management activities across multiple, often interconnected projects, including oversight of staffing, budgets, deliverables, and project reporting. * Maintain full financial accountability, including cost control, forecasting, estimates-to-complete, and oversight of invoice review and approvals to ensure delivery within or below budget. * Oversee subcontract administration and contract compliance, including development of subcontracts, management of work orders, and adherence to M/WBE/DBE requirements. * Provide leadership in client and stakeholder communications, including drafting and reviewing correspondence related to construction issues, delays, disputes, change orders, and non-conforming work. * Drive project performance by ensuring compliance with safety and QA/QC programs, managing schedules and delay analyses, maintaining accurate documentation, and monitoring key performance indicators (RFIs, submittals, and change orders). In addition to leading project delivery, you will play an active role in shaping and strengthening the Construction Management practice. This includes leading proposal efforts for targeted CM pursuits and contributing to broader proposals through the development of key sections such as experience, organizational capabilities, and technical approach. You will collaborate with fellow CM leaders on staffing strategy, knowledge sharing, and team development, while participating in regular leadership forums to drive alignment and continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring CM staff, providing ongoing performance feedback, and contributing to the annual review process. Additionally, you will support the growth of the team by initiating new requisitions, interviewing candidates, and guiding onboarding and integration to ensure a strong and cohesive team environment. Key Skills and Experience: We are seeking a seasoned construction leader with a strong understanding of NYC and national regulations, and a proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders. You thrive in dynamic environments where you can balance competing priorities, lead through complex challenges, and deliver successful outcomes. You bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and navigate critical project decisions. Active participation in professional organizations and a strong command of relevant systems and tools will support your success in this role. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline * Registered Professional Engineer in New York * 15 years of construction experience in the NYC Water / Wastewater industry (NYCDEP Client experience) * OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification Preferred Requirements: * 20 years of construction experience in the NYC Water or Wastewater industry * Professional certifications such as CCM or PMP * Experience delivering large, complex capital projects or programs (e.g., $500M+ aggregate value) Why Arcadis?
