Pipefitter Pay: Up to $35/hr Per Diem: $100/Day Location: Columbus, OH Job Description This role involves installing, assembling, and modifying piping systems on a large commercial healthcare construction project. You will work primarily with 4-inch or smaller pipe, using ProPress and Victaulic systems, while operating aerial lifts in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Install, fit, and assemble 4-inch or smaller piping systems on a commercial hospital project. Work with ProPress and Victaulic piping systems to ensure secure, leak-free connections. Interpret and follow blueprints and drawings to lay out and install piping accurately. Operate scissor lifts and boom lifts safely to access elevated work areas. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe using appropriate tools and methods. Collaborate with other trades and team members to coordinate work and maintain project schedules. Follow all site safety rules and procedures, including the proper use of PPE and fall protection. Use and maintain basic hand tools such as cordless drills, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and hammers. Inspect completed work for quality, alignment, and compliance with project specifications. Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or project obstacles to site leadership promptly. Essential Skills At least 3+ years of pipefitting experience on commercial or industrial construction sites. Hands-on experience working with Victaulic and ProPress piping systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints for piping layouts and installations. Current OSHA 10 certification or higher. Valid boom and scissor lift certification. Proficiency in installing and assembling 4-inch or smaller pipe. Ability to safely operate scissor lifts and boom lifts on an active construction site. Ownership and proficient use of basic hand tools, including cordless drill, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, and hammer. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel to the job site daily. Consistent adherence to safety procedures and use of required PPE, including Type 2 hard hat with chin strap, high-visibility clothing, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and cut-proof gloves. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
