Diesel Mechanic Job Description This position involves working as a diesel mechanic in a facility managing approximately 20 trucks and 60 trailers. The role includes performing DOT inspections, replacing brakes, tires, and DPF filters, performing some suspension work, welding and fabricating to fix flooring, and topping off fluids as needed. Responsibilities Conduct DOT inspections. Replace brakes, tires, and DPF filters. Perform suspension work. Weld and fabricate to repair flooring. Top off vehicle fluids. Essential Skills Proficiency in diesel transmission repair. Ability to conduct DOT inspections. Experience in preventative maintenance on brakes, oil, axles, lights, flooring, and walls. Welding and fabrication skills. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, particularly with semis. Possess personal tools up to 1/2 inch. Additional Skills & Qualifications CDL A license is preferred. ASE certification is a plus. Why Work Here?
