Electrical Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to work on exciting projects while enjoying a consistent schedule with three-day weekends every week. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams in compliance with NEC and local codes. Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including transformers, motors, PLCs, and lighting systems. Use electrical testing equipment to diagnose system issues. Perform preventative and routine maintenance to ensure system reliability. Conduct inspections and recommend repairs or replacements as needed. Follow all safety policies, regulations, and safe work practices. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance, and inventory. Essential Skills Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including PLCs and high-voltage systems. Proficient with hand and power tools and electrical testing meters. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship preferred. Proven experience as an industrial electrician. Valid state certification or license, as required. Why Work Here? There is a presence of SO2 in the air, though it isn't overwhelmingly strong. The facility is warm during winter and can get hot in the summer. The shift runs from Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 am to 5 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wahpeton, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00/hr.
