Project Coordinator Job Description The Project Coordinator manages all project documentation, supports field and office teams, and ensures construction projects run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget. This role focuses on organizing RFIs, submittals, drawings, and financial records while proactively identifying issues and helping drive timely resolutions across residential and multi-unit construction projects. Responsibilities Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, and all project documentation in a clear, organized, and accessible manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including approvals, revisions, and key correspondence. Track project budgets, change orders, and cost impacts to support effective financial control. Log invoices, receipts, and financial updates to ensure timely and accurate project accounting. Coordinate project schedules, scopes, and deliverables with internal teams and external partners. Track milestones and follow up consistently to minimize delays and keep projects on schedule. Monitor project progress, anticipate potential issues early, and propose practical solutions. Support document control processes to ensure the latest drawings and specifications are in use. Collaborate with construction and mechanical teams to align documentation with field conditions. Assist with preparation and distribution of project reports and status updates. Essential Skills 2-5 years of experience in construction coordination or a similar project coordination role. Experience in residential or multi-unit construction (preferred but strongly valued). Hands-on experience managing RFIs, submittals, drawings, and other project documentation. Proven ability to track milestones, follow up consistently, and reduce project delays. Experience tracking change orders, budgets, and cost impacts on construction projects. Strong document control skills, including maintaining accurate project records and approvals. Proficiency with Bluebeam for reviewing and managing construction documents. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking budgets, logs, and project data. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings accurately. Understanding of construction sequencing and building systems, including mechanical aspects. Knowledge or familiarity with construction and construction management practices. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to anticipate issues early and propose thoughtful, workable solutions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in residential or multi-unit construction environments. Exposure to mechanical systems within construction projects. Previous involvement in both field and office-based construction coordination.
