Responsibilities Operate various CNC-driven machines at an advanced level, such as press brakes, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears, in accordance with standard operating procedures. Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs, ensuring configurations meet all product specifications and tolerances. Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems, to minimize downtime. Monitor machine performance during production and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains. Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies to verify they meet internal standards and customer specifications. Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation, programming, and troubleshooting techniques. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines to ensure all equipment remains in safe and reliable working condition. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs, optimize production workflows, and enhance equipment performance. Maintain accurate and detailed records of production activities, machine performance, maintenance actions, and corrective measures taken. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably working with press brakes, turret punches, lasers, and shears. Strong experience operating CNC-driven machines in a production environment. Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. Solid knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing and CNC operations. Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files. Demonstrated experience working with sheet metal that is cut, pressed, and punched to strict tolerances. Proficiency in general machine operation in a production setting.
