General Laborer / Chemical Operator - Now Hiring Join a fastpaced chemical manufacturing and logistics facility where you'll operate pumps, hoses, tanks, forklifts, and transfer systems to safely move, load, and unload liquid chemicals. Key Responsibilities Chemical Transfer Operations Operate pumps, valves, and hoses to load/unload chemicals from tanks, totes, drums, and railcars. Material Handling Move containers manually (35 lbs) and operate a sitdown forklift for heavier loads. Product Verification Check incoming/outgoing materials against documentation; label drums and totes accurately. Hazmat Handling Work safely with hazardous chemicals, including peroxide and bulk chemical transfers. Spotter Truck Operation Move containers and equipment around the property as needed. Batching & Compounding Support blending, mixing, and production operations. Facility Upkeep Maintain a clean, safe, compliant work area. Team Collaboration Work with supervisors and coworkers to meet production goals; support overtime needs. Skills & Experience Industrial Equipment Experience Pumps, valves, hoses, transfer systems, and production machinery. Chemical Operations Compounding, batch making, or fluid transfer experience. Forklift Operation Sitdown forklift experience moving drums and totes. Ability to lift 50+ lbs , work indoors/outdoors, and handle hazardous materials safely. Strong documentation, labeling, and product verification skills. Willingness to work overtime to support production and logistics. Preferred Qualifications Chemical Operator or Compounder Experience Experience with railcar loading , tank loading, and bulk chemical transfers Familiarity with hazmat labeling , documentation, and safety protocols Ability to operate or learn to operate a spotter truck Reliable team player with strong communication and work ethic Work Environment You'll work in a heavyduty chemical storage and distribution facility with pumps, valves, tanks, railcars, forklifts, and transfer equipment. Expect both indoor and outdoor work, consistent lifting, and a firstshift schedule (6:00-2:30 or 7:00-3:30). The team is small, collaborative, and safetyfocused. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
