The Role:
We are seeking a sharp, authoritative Field Supervisor to oversee Inside Plant (ISP) fiber and MDU construction crews in the Omaha market.
In this role, you are the critical bridge between our subcontractors, the client (GFiber), and building management. You will be our primary boots on the ground, ensuring crews are operating efficiently, adhering strictly to build specifications, and completing the exact documentation required for line-item billing.
What You Will Do:
Subcontractor Management: Direct daily field activities. Ensure crews stay on schedule, route fiber and microduct correctly, and execute work without cutting corners.
The Ultimate Buffer: Act as the primary liaison between subs, GFiber field inspectors, and property managers. Handle building access logistics and proactively resolve site-level disputes so crews can focus on production.
Rigorous Quality Control: Conduct pre-inspections of all completed work. Ensure MDF/IDF closets are dressed cleanly, wall penetrations are fire-stopped, and pathways meet exact standards to prevent costly rework.
Production Documentation: Track daily progress and ensure strict compliance with line-item billing requirements. Verify that crews capture and upload clear, accurate photos of every completed unit (terminals, drops, pathways) for QC approval.
Daily Reporting: Submit comprehensive daily logs, progress tracking, and issue reports to the back office.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in ISP fiber construction, structured cabling, or commercial low-voltage installations.
Firm, no-nonsense leadership style capable of holding subcontractors accountable for their daily output and job-site cleanliness.
Deep understanding of indoor pathway routing, fire-stopping standards, and digital blueprints.
Excellent communication skills to diplomatically handle property managers and client inspectors.
Tech-savvy enough to use field-management apps to upload site photos and verify line-item billing requirements in real-time.
OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
How to Apply:
If you have the experience to drive production and the authority to keep crews in line, we want to talk to you. Reply to this posting with your resume and a brief introduction about your background in ISP/low-voltage builds.
