HVAC Service Technician / Installer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: 22.00-35.00/hr. Competitive pay based upon experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service Technician / Installer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and servicing existing systems, and installing new HVAC equipment . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Installation: Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (including split systems, mini-splits, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductwork).
Service & Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and airflow faults in various HVAC makes and models.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and multi-point inspections (cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, testing safety controls, and replacing filters) to optimize system efficiency and longevity.
Customer Service: Clearly communicate findings, repair options, and equipment recommendations to homeowners or commercial clients in a professional, courteous manner.
Documentation: Maintain accurate digital logs of work performed, parts used, and equipment conditions using our company service software.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, proper handling of refrigerants (EPA guidelines), and maintain a clean, organized company vehicle.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in HVAC installation, service, and preventative maintenance.
Certifications: EPA Section 608 Certification required (Universal preferred). NATE certification is a major plus.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC schematics, electrical troubleshooting, brazing/soldering, and refrigeration cycles.
Drivers License: Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean, insurable driving record.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work in tight spaces (crawlspaces, attics), climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.
Availability: Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency weekend/after-hours service
