Traveling SuperintendentPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead and oversee multiple industrial, commercial, and construction projects across regional locations. The Traveling Superintendent will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong coordination with project teams and subcontractors, and frequent travel to job sites.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day field operations across multiple project sites, ensuring work is executed according to plans, specifications, and schedule.Travel to and set up new job sites, evaluate site conditions, and establish site-specific safety and quality procedures.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel; ensure clear communication and alignment with project goals.Monitor project schedules and progress, proactively identifying and resolving delays or resource constraints to meet milestones.Manage on-site safety programs, conduct regular inspections, enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety policies, and lead toolbox talks.Ensure work quality and workmanship meet company and client standards through inspections, punch lists, and corrective actions.Collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators to control costs, track labor and material usage, and report budget variances.Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and change orders; implement changes in the field effectively.Prepare and submit daily/weekly field reports, progress photos, and documentation required for billing and client updates.Mentor and develop field teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development.Qualifications5+ years of hands-on superintendent experience in industrial, commercial, or K-12 projects (experience supervising multiple sites preferred).Proven track record managing projects with frequent travel; comfortable spending 50-75% of time on the road and working at remote or rotating sites.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.Solid understanding of jobsite safety requirements and regulations; OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate diverse teams and subcontractors.Experience with scheduling tools, field reporting, and basic project cost control; familiarity with Procore, Autodesk, or similar construction management software is a plus.Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet project demands and travel frequently between sites.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonusRelocation
