Water System Operator

Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District is seeking a motivated and reliable Water System Operator to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a stable public utility environment while contributing to essential community infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work in the construction, maintenance, and operation of the Districts water distribution system and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, repair, and maintenance of water distribution infrastructure
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery including excavation equipment and pumps
• Respond to system issues and emergency situations as needed
• Participate in standby and on-call rotation

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with water systems or utilities
• At least one (1) year of general construction experience
• State Water Distribution Certification (Grade IIV)
• Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class A or ability to obtain
