The Commercial Construction Foreman is the onsite leader responsible for executing projects from turnover to final completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the primary field representative of the company, you will set the tone for safety, integrity, quality, professionalism, and teamwork.
Work Locations: Opportunities available in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego County.
What Youll Own:
Lead field execution of assigned projects from turnover through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget
Review project documentation including submittals, control drawings, specifications, schedules, and mechanical/electrical plans to ensure accurate field implementations
Coordinate manpower with the Superintendent to maintain field productivity and project timelines
Monitor labor performance, material usage, and project progress to preserve or improve job margin and prevent scope creep
Ensure all installations meet NEC requirements, contract specifications, and company quality standards
Champion and enforce Cal/OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies, including:
Conducting job hazard analyses
leading onsite safety meetings and inspections
Ensuring PPE compliance
Addressing unsafe conditions immediately
Keep Safety Manager aware of any safety issues
Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, timekeeping, safety documentation, and as-built drawings
Serve as the primary on-site coordination point with general contractors, customers, inspectors, and other trades
Verify material deliveries and customer-provided equipment to ensure accuracy and completeness
Mentor field including apprentices
Perform hands-on electrical work as required to support project completion
Required Qualifications
Skilled and Trained Workforce (graduated from a state certified apprenticeship program)
Journeyman Inside Wireman certification (California recognized)
Minimum 2-4 years experience in electrical construction, including supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of NFP70E, EM385, and Cal/OSHA regulations
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
Ability to read and manage plans, schedules, and manpower
Valid drivers license
Work Environment
This position involves work in active construction environments and includes the physical activities described below. May work either inside or outside in any weather (cold, rain, heat)
Work may be noisy, cramped, dirty and poorly ventilated.
Hazards include risk of electrical shock and other work-site accidents
40-hour workweek is normal; however, overtime may be offered. Electricians may work nights and weekends
Medium physical demands require lifting of 25lbs or less and occasionally lifting up to 120lbs.
Must have use of vision, feet, legs, hands and arms to climb and/or balance on scaffolding or ladders
Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, sometimes in cramped and awkward positioning
Must have use of arms, hands and fingers to reach, handle and feel cable, wires, tools, and other equipment
Must be able to see and hear, or have corrected vision, both close and distant, or hearing aid
Must be able to distinguish color coded wires
Must be able to adjust focus and use peripheral vision and depth perception
