Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer for a role north of Nashville. This role will be doing design for sheet metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new products
  • Support the continuous improvement and maintenance of existing products
  • Assist production with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues
  • Work with service teams to diagnose and resolve field issues
  • Provide technical support to Sales and Customer Service teams
  • Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Manage product data including BOMs, routings, and change documentation
  • Coordinate with third-party contractors as needed
  • Ensure products meet industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Research opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, and new technologies
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to develop and refine quality standards
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to source materials and components
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing-related engineering
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication
  • Proficiency in CAD solid modeling (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX)

Preferred Experience

  • Electrical systems, wiring, schematics, and embedded systems
  • Refrigeration system design and troubleshooting
  • Airflow systems, CFD, and heat transfer

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
