Civil Project Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking talented Civil Engineers/Designers/Project Managers to join our team. This role involves reporting directly to the Land Development VP or Detroit Market Lead, with opportunities available in multiple locations including metro Detroit, Lansing, and Grand Rapids. Our work environment offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design, engineering calculations, and reports.
  • Conduct site visits to support project development.
  • Assist in permit applications and construction processes.
  • Evaluate land use and zoning requirements.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design work.
  • Support private sector, K-12, municipal, or urban planning projects based on experience.
  • Focus on site/land development, grading, drainage, sanitary/sewer, and utilities work.
  • Engage in mixed-use urban infill, sustainable design, and stormwater management practices.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT, PE, or ability to obtain one within the next 6 months.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Civil Site Development design.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D design.
  • Experience in designing grading, drainage, utilities, sanitary/sewer systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • EIT or PE certification.
  • Urban planning/design experience.
  • K-12 site design experience.
  • Project management experience.
Work Environment

Our collaborative and team-focused work environment operates on a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote work. Offices are located in Rochester Hills, Detroit, and Novi. A standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with expected hours ranging from 40 to 50 per week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
