Position Description Advertised Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, performs highly skilled electrical duties required to maintain and repair campus-wide electrical systems. Installs electrical equipment and remodels existing electrical services to support campus departments. Performs duties as a lead worker and assumes responsibilities of the supervisor in his absence.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:
  • Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.


Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials:
  • Drivers license
  • Journeyman Certification

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, other electrical documents and able to use a computer.
  • The ability to understand written and oral instructions, communicate effectively with faculty, staff, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.

Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues affecting multiple buildings or distribution systems, including feeders, switchgear, and system interfaces. Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
