Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $21 - $21 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Scrap Yard Crane Operator:

• Operate overhead, gantry, magnet, grapple, or hydraulic cranes to move, sort, load, and unload scrap metal materials
• Safely transport ferrous and non-ferrous materials throughout the yard
• Load trailers, railcars, and processing equipment efficiently and safely
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Monitor material quality and assist with sorting operations as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Maintain production efficiency while ensuring a safe work environment
• Assist with general yard operations when necessary

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Previous crane operating experience in a scrap yard, steel mill, recycling facility, foundry, or heavy industrial environment
• Experience operating grapple, magnet, hydraulic, overhead, or gantry cranes preferred
• Strong understanding of equipment safety and load handling procedures
• Ability to work in an outdoor industrial environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work around heavy equipment
• Drug Screening Required
