Job Overview

Operates equipment such as Excavators, Skid Steers, Forklifts, Dump Trucks, Sweepers, Flatbed Trucks, Tractors, Mowers, etc. while performing duties which serve general property and race track maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective mannertominimize the risk of injury according to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Perform safety and maintenance checks to ensure the safety of the equipment and personnel.
  • Maintain inventory ofallnecessary supplies.
  • AdvisetheFacilities Supervisorsof any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
  • Clean backside areastomaintainsuitable appearance and sanitation standards orfacility.
  • Complete all work assignments on time and with accuracy.
  • Be advised of the week-to-week work schedule and any changes made according to business needs.
  • Follow the directives of all department SOPs and policiesregardinguniforms, communications, and work duties.
  • Responsible for carrying out all duties with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma and/or 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • NCCER or other equipment certification preferred
  • Osha 10 preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Requires acute visualperceptionabilities to accurately judge distances as well as a mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision and havegood timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Requires a high energy individual with a positive attitude who candemonstrategood communicationskills in a team environment.

The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.

Licenses, Certifications, Registration: Requires a Pari-Mutuel License. Requires a valid Florida Driver’s License.
