Position Summary:
The Supervisor for Regional Operations, under general supervision, plans and directs the daily work activities of the eastern district miss dig and collections field personnel. This includes line locating, collections (hangs and shuts), emergency response, and the compliance of public act 174 through the miss dig system. Other operational duties may require the oversight of installation, operation and maintenance of gas services lines, meter installations and maintenance, regulator stations and gas storage fields within the assigned geographic area.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Oversees field operations on the day-to-day assigned work tasks of the eastern district miss dig and collection departments.
- Directs the fulfillment of project assignments, within budget, with quality, and on schedule.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures consistent with Company goals and objectives.
- Ensures company internal control procedures and processes are followed and periodically reviews internal controls and processes for improvement.
- Trains, monitors, coaches, develops, and evaluates unit employees.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and cross-departmental training.
- Prepares regular and special reports for regional operations.
- Partners with construction contractors and outside vendors to ensure that safety, compliance, efficiency, and financial parameters are followed.
- Administers and enforces Company safety programs.
- Required to stand on-call in the Eastern Supervisor On-Call rotation.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering, and/or related field equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three to five years of related work experience. Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of the construction and maintenance of natural gas transmission and distribution systems and related equipment.
- Proven organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data, compile statistics and prepare reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in order to lead effectively, with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
- Good working knowledge of computer business software applications used by the Company and ability to learn new applications.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $89,300 to $129,650 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
