Position Overview:
We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician with experience in commercial, industrial, or telecom environments to support the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical systems at telecommunications sites.
This role involves working on cell tower sites, equipment shelters, generators, and DC power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
-Install and terminate AC (DC power systems experience is a plus) at telecom sites
-Run conduit, pull wire, and install electrical panels and circuits
-Install and connect battery backup systems and power plants
-Perform generator installations, hookups, and troubleshooting
-Grounding and bonding per telecom and NEC standards
-Read and interpret construction drawings, one-lines, and wiring diagrams
-Support fiber and equipment installations as needed
-Perform testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of systems
-Ensure all work meets NEC, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements
-Maintain clean, organized, and documented job sites
Qualifications:
-Valid Journeyman Electrician License (TX preferred or reciprocating state)
-3+ years of electrical experience (telecom experience is a strong plus)
Experience with:
-DC power systems (preferred)
-Generators and transfer switches
-Battery systems (VRLA / lithium is a plus)
-Ability to read prints and electrical diagrams
-Comfortable working outdoors
-Willingness to travel weekly (5075%) at times
-Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Preferred (Not Required):
-Telecom / cell site experience (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.
-OSHA 10/30 Certification
-CPR / First Aid
