Looking for experienced excavator operators that has over 5 years of experience.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience of excavator operating. Working experience in Civil Construction is preferred advantage.
Ability to read, understand and interpret construction drawings, plans and blueprints.
A valid BC driver's license (class 5) with clean drivers abstracts and own reliable
Be safety orientated, self-motivated and work well with others.
Ability to work outside in all types of weather, along with additional hours as needed (possibly weekends).
Physical ability to perform duties
Job Requirements, but are not limited to are:
Notify the project manager when issues arise such as a conflict in the drawings, extra work may be performed, or changing/unforeseen conditions are revealed.
Ensure materials, equipment and labours are utilized most efficiently and effectively.
Ensure that deliveries to site are complete and in accordance with materials order.
Coordinate separate modules of the construction process to ensure harmony.
Performs daily, weekly and monthly safety meetings and inspections.
Organize necessary tools for the days' work at the beginning of the shift.
Assist pipe layers in setting up lasers or levels.
Ensure that all equipment that are not functioning properly is reported to Field Manager and Dispatch.
Inspect the site at the end of the shift to make sure no tools have been left out.
Ensure that all open excavation, manholes etc. are adequately barricaded.
Accurately review or complete Daily Field Reports (DFR) showing all hours for crew under the appropriate cost code, as well as all materials delivered to site, and showing daily productions.
Make sure that work sites are cleaned and cleared of any hazardous materials prior to the beginning of a construction project.
Ensure periodic maintenance and proper storage of construction equipment and tools.
