We are looking for a Painter responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to commercial refrigeration units, using high-pressure spray equipment. Key duties include surface preparation, paint mixing, maintaining equipment, and inspecting finished products for quality compliance

Job Title: Painter

Pay Rate: $20hr

Schedule (Days and Time): Mon-Fri (6am-2:45pm) OT on Sat

Core Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation & Painting: Prepares surfaces (sanding, masking) and applies paint, primer, and coatings to metal parts using high-pressure spray guns.
• Quality Inspection: Ensures paint thickness, tone, and density meet specifications and checks for, then corrects, any imperfections.
• Maintenance & Safety: Maintains spray guns and painting equipment, maintains a clean, safe 5S-compliant workstation, and follows all OSHA/safety regulations.
• Documentation: Accurately documents daily painting activities.
• Manufacturing Support: Collaborates with teams to optimize production timelines, often working with ERP systems like SAP.

Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience with high-pressure/atomizing paint sprayers.
• Physical: Ability to lift at least 25-50 lbs and climb ladders/stairs.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work specifications.
• Process Knowledge: Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Six Sigma, Kanban) is often preferred.
