Electrical Technician

Our client is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be part of the validation and testing department supporting hardware and software testing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Irvine, CA (On Site)

What's the Job?

• Perform bench-level testing of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Zonal ECUs.
• Set up, configure, and maintain test benches and lab equipment for ECU validation.
• Execute functional and electrical validation tests for battery systems, zonal controllers, and related components.
• Develop and execute test cases, log defects, and support issue resolution.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software issues using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic equipment.

What's Needed?

• Strong experience in electronic bench testing and ECU validation.
• Good understanding of BMS systems and battery electronics (cells, modules, thermal management).
• Knowledge of Zonal architecture and vehicle electrical distribution systems.
• Hands-on experience with test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
