What Youll Be Doing
  • Lead civil design and scope development for solar PV and battery storage (BESS) projects
  • Evaluate site feasibility, including grading, drainage, stormwater, hydrology, and geotechnical considerations
  • Develop and optimize site layouts and grading plans for efficiency, constructability, and cost
  • Design and review stormwater management systems in compliance with applicable standards
  • Plan access roads and utility routing to support construction and long-term operations
  • Contribute to foundation design for solar and energy storage infrastructure
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, construction, and procurement teams
  • Review and integrate third-party civil designs and studies
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously (5 at a time) while maintaining quality and timelines
  • Help drive best practices, standards, and process improvements across the team
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience, ideally in land development, utilities, or renewable energy
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited)
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Hands-on experience with site development (grading, drainage, stormwater, hydrology, geotechnical)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote team setting
  • EIT-level knowledge or solid civil engineering foundation

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $55.29/hr.
