Atmosera is hiring an Associate Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure team that's responsible for the deployment of Azure cloud environments. The Associate Cloud Engineer plays a hands-on role in building, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft Azure environments that power reliable and secure cloud solutions. This individual will support Azure infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code, contribute to CI/CD workflows, and help troubleshoot performance, availability, and connectivity issues across development and production environments. The position emphasizes strong foundations in Azure networking, governance, and the Azure Well-Architected Framework, with opportunities to participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn modern cloud engineering practices. The Associate Cloud Engineer will gain exposure to real-world cloud architectures while building the skills needed for long-term growth within a cloud-focused organization. Key Responsibilities
Azure Cloud Engineering
Implement and manage Azure infrastructure using core Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity).
Support Azure resource deployment following established architecture standards and best practices.
Assist with environment builds across development, test, and production subscriptions.
Monitor Azure resources and assist with troubleshooting performance, availability, and configuration issues.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and Terraform under guidance from senior engineers.
Deploy Azure resources via CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows.
Participate in code reviews to ensure IaC follows organizational standards and Azure best practices.
Help modularize and reuse infrastructure components where appropriate.
Azure Well-Architected Framework
Apply Azure Well Architected Framework principles across:
Reliability
Security
Cost Optimization
Operational Excellence
Performance Efficiency
Assist with Well Architected reviews and remediation tasks.
Collaborate on implementing governance, tagging, and policy standards.
Networking & Topology
Support Azure networking implementations, including:
Virtual Networks (VNets)
Subnets and IP addressing
Network Security Groups (NSGs)
User Defined Routes (UDRs)
Assist with hub and spoke and other common Azure network topologies.
Help troubleshoot connectivity issues involving VPNs, private endpoints, and service endpoints.
Understand and apply basic network security and segmentation concepts.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with senior cloud engineers, DevOps, and security teams.
Document infrastructure designs, deployment steps, and operational procedures.
Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate status, risks, and blockers clearly within the team.
Technical Skills
Minimum 2 years' of hands on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS and foundational PaaS services).
Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code , specifically:
Bicep
Terraform
Understanding of Azure Well Architected Framework concepts.
Foundational knowledge of cloud networking , including:
VNets, subnets, routing
NSGs and firewall concepts
Experience with Git-based workflows (GitHub or Azure DevOps).

Familiarity with Azure governance concepts such as management groups, RBAC, and policies.
Awareness of security best practices in cloud environments.
