Job Summary: We are hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanic for our industrial bakery facility in Carteret, NJ. This is a permanent, first-shift position from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with steady year-round work and a lot of overtime. In this role, you will work on the floor to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our plant production machinery. We need an experienced mechanic who knows how to work safely on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems up to 480V. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical (up to 480V), mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and adjustments on plant machinery to optimize productivity.
• Read and interpret machine electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals to locate and fix problems.
• Dismantle, repair, and replace defective components such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and control instruments.
• Navigate and utilize the plant CMMS system to log, track, and complete assigned work orders.
• Document process sheets, complete equipment safety checks, and communicate shift updates to maintain consistency across teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop and ensure all maintenance activities follow GMP, OSHA regulations, and food safety standards.
• Respond to on-call requests and work additional hours as needed to troubleshoot down machinery and support plant operations.
