- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and design documents that meet client goals, industry standards, and applicable building codes.
- Collaborate closely with architectural and engineering teams to deliver coordinated project documentation.
- Develop laboratory layouts, space planning solutions, and technical design recommendations.
- Review and incorporate project markups and redline revisions into construction documents.
- Support project budgets, schedules, and deliverable deadlines throughout the design process.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project coordination efforts.
- Contribute to design standards, process improvements, and technical best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and documenting laboratory, research, science, technology, or similar technical facilities.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam with experience producing complete construction document sets.
- Working knowledge of building systems, codes, and technical requirements related to laboratory environments.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare research, higher education, or advanced manufacturing projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, or similar modeling and visualization software.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Previous involvement with construction administration activities.
- Participation in industry organizations, conferences, speaking engagements, or professional networking groups.
- Experience contributing to design standards, templates, specifications, or process improvement initiatives.
