Transglobal Services (TGS) is seeking experienced independent Drafting Technician professionals to support current and future client projects involving land surveying, mapping, infrastructure, utility, and energy-related drafting services.
This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor engagement and is project-based. Work assignments may vary depending on project scope, client requirements, and business needs.
Project Support Services May Include
- Preparing, updating, and modifying CAD drawings, plats, maps, exhibits, and related drafting deliverables
- Supporting survey and mapping deliverables associated with client and agency requirements
- Processing and organizing field survey data and associated drafting files
- Assisting with the preparation of easement exhibits, lease outlines, alignment sheets, permit drawings, and related project documentation
- Supporting drafting revisions and updates based on project requirements and client feedback
- Organizing and maintaining drafting files, point cloud data, and associated project records
- Performing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of drafting deliverables, including peer-produced drawings and exhibits when requested, to verify accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with project requirements
- Supporting project deliverables in accordance with client specifications and industry standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related CAD software
- Experience supporting land surveying, utility, pipeline, infrastructure, telecommunications, renewable energy, or oil and gas projects
- Familiarity with drafting deliverables such as:
- Easement Exhibits
- Lease Outlines
- Alignment Sheets
- Well Plats
- Boundary Surveys
- Permit Drawings
- Survey Mapping Deliverables
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to independently manage project deliverables and deadlines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Contractor Expectations
This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor engagement. Contractors are expected to:
- Operate as independent service providers
- Maintain control over how services are performed to meet project requirements
- Utilize their own tools, software, and equipment unless otherwise specified within project requirements
- Deliver accurate and timely work products in accordance with project scope and deadlines
- Submit billable hours or project deliverables in accordance with agreed project terms
- Work on a project-by-project basis with no guarantee of ongoing work or minimum hours
Compensation
Compensation is structured on an hourly or project basis and is dependent upon project requirements, experience, and applicable client agreements.
