Summary:

Under direction of the Operations Coordinator and the Regional Construction Manager, the Cabinet Builder 1 is responsible for assisting in building and installing cabinets. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company and the capability of working in a team environment are necessary for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and work with the Inventory Control Coordinator to properly account for all cabinets received and stored in the facility.
  • Make necessary repairs and adjustments to the product once it is received.
  • Complete building cabinets process in the cabinet shop.
  • Complete cabinet installation process in the field.
  • Assists the Operations Coordinator in building and installing cabinets.
  • Abides by company safety policies including use of personal protective equipment.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Is present at workstation wearing personal protection equipment and ready to work at starting time.
  • Maintains a tidy work area.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • All other duties as assigned by the GM or Operations Coordinator within the reasonable scope of role responsibilities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Able to listen, learn, and retain information about all stations and use of tools within the cabinet shop and field.
  • Able to listen, learn, and retain the information for reading shop drawings and building and installing cabinets.
  • Knowledge of common building materials used in the cabinet shop and field.
  • Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work.
  • Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team work ethic.
  • Communicates effectively with team members.
