SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to support excavation and site preparation activities. This role involves hands-on physical work, assisting equipment operators, maintaining safe job sites, and performing general labor duties related to earthwork and underground construction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with excavation, trenching, and backfilling operations
  • Hand-dig trenches and holes around utilities and structures
  • Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment
  • Set up and maintain job site safety measures
  • Operate hand tools and small power tools safely
  • Assist equipment operators as directed
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to work around heavy equipment and excavation environments
  • Basic knowledge of construction site safety
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Previous excavation or construction experience
  • Experience working around underground utilities
  • Valid driver’s license

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Requires possession of valid Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort insurance carrier. Must have own reliable mode of transportation.
