Job Overview

We are seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support manufacturing operations by ensuring welded products meet quality, safety, and code standards. This is a hands-on, shop-based role working closely with welders, supervisors, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual inspection of production welds

Verify fit-up, joint preparation, and final weld quality

Ensure compliance with WPS, welding codes, and drawings

Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication specifications

Document inspections, nonconformances, and corrective actions

Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Maintain inspection and quality records

Assist in training and supporting production welders

Required Qualifications

Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification

Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication inspection role

Strong knowledge of welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW)

Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols

Understanding of manufacturing quality systems

Strong communication skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

PPE required at all times
