Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Handyman / Maintenance Technician to assist with general upkeep, maintenance, and small repair projects at our farm in Carlotta and commercial building located in Eureka.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining properties, and has the ability to identify and address small issues before they become larger problems. Work will be performed on an as-needed basis (hours will vary depending on current maintenance needs and projects) and may include recurring maintenance visits, small repair projects, and general property upkeep.

Responsibilities - Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Painting touch-ups and minor cosmetic repairs
- Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work areas
- Basic building and property maintenance
- Minor repairs and troubleshooting
- Replacing light bulbs and maintaining lighting fixtures
- Inspecting doors, windows, locks, and other building components
- Identifying leaks, damage, or maintenance concerns
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks
- Assisting with small projects around the property
- General upkeep of both indoor and outdoor areas
- Communicating maintenance needs and recommendations
- Recurring Maintenance Tasks

Examples of recurring responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting building inspections every two weeks
- Checking and cleaning HVAC filters and systems
- Inspecting lights, doors, fixtures, and equipment
- Monitoring for leaks, water damage, or safety concerns
- Ensuring the property remains clean, functional, and well-maintained
- Reporting maintenance issues before they become costly repairs

Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous handyman, maintenance, facilities, property management, or construction experience
- Ability to perform a wide range of basic repair and maintenance tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Ability to lift and carry materials and tools as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Bonus Qualifications - The following are not required but would be considered a strong advantage:
- General Contractor license
- Trade certifications or licenses
- Experience with commercial buildings, farms, or agricultural facilities
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry experience

Compensation - Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications: $25-$40/hr. This position will primarily be paid on an hourly basis and may include a combination of:
- Scheduled recurring maintenance visits
- On-call or occasional repair work
- Small project-based assignments
- General property upkeep tasks
