NOW HIRING: Press Brake Operator 2nd Shift ($20 - $24/hr)
We are looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our custom fabrication shop in Birmingham! If you want a job where your technical math skills and commitment to exact tolerances are truly valued, this is the spot for you.
WHAT WE OFFER
Pay Rate: $20.00 to $24.00 / hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Stable 2nd Shift hours with your weekends starting early! Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
THE WORK
Take full ownership of our Press Brake and Plate Roll equipment. You will calculate tonnage, determine correct die openings, and bend heavy steel plate to exact blueprint specifications. You will also use overhead cranes and rigging equipment to safely load stock, lay out and mark material, fabricate custom jigs, and perform routine preventative maintenance on your machines.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Core Skills: Strong ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, handle shop math for tonnage calculations, and maintain a solid understanding of metal press forming concepts.
Experience (Required): High School Diploma, GED, or at least 2 years of experience in a similar fabrication or press brake role. Prior crane, forklift, and rigging training is a huge plus.
