Forklift Operator - Freezer (3rd Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY:

To get trucks loaded and unloaded in a timely and accurate manner. To maintain a safe and clean work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Loads and unloads trucks using forklifts and pallet jack when necessary.
• Loaders pick orders for incoming truck loads. They also unload inbound product coming.
• Forklift operators also prepare freezer for inventory and conduct year end inventory.
• Conducts daily forklift checklist.
• Follows safety procedures during forklift operation.
• Clean up freezer when requested. Participate in taking repacking items to production when requested.
• Requires driving a forklift on a daily basis. Must have a forklift certification. Must be able to have basic math and reading skills. Must be able to have vision in both eyes. All limbs will be necessary to accomplish job duties.
• Works in a freezer with temperatures reaching minus 20 degrees F. Must be able to lift some light to heavy equipment and product.
• Drive Bobtail truck to perform tranfers between plant and freezer and ocacionally to our vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
