As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you will assist in managing project submittals, tracking production timelines, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring seamless project execution. This role requires a dynamic professional who can multitask effectively while maintaining precision and organization.
You'll interact with a wide range of stakeholders-contractors, field teams, government agencies, and internal departments-via email, phone, and in person.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Submittals
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Review job scope and specifications prior to submittal
- Create, manage, review, and approve submittal packages
- Compose and send submittals for approval and manage correspondence
- Obtain and track signed approvals for equipment, drawings, and site requirements
Project Tracking & Execution
- Monitor and track production timelines to ensure timely completion
- Maintain and update project spreadsheets daily
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly stored
- Release equipment to manufacturers for production
- Coordinate and schedule project deliveries
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as a key point of contact for field supervisors
- Communicate directly with contractors, owners, and government agencies (e.g., Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC)
- Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and architects
Technical & Design Support
- Assist in designing elevator layouts for various applications
- Prepare and submit documentation for government projects
- Develop knowledge of industry codes and standards (A17.1, A18.1, B20, ADA)
Additional Duties
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support project success
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe
- Experience maintaining organized digital filing systems
- Familiarity with elevator systems preferred
- 2D/3D drafting experience preferred
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools
