Construction Manager (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. Summary: This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced construction team focused on the delivery of complex, large-scale early works projects. As a key member of the Datacenter Construction team, this role oversees the planning, compliance, and on-site progress of Early Works General Contractor activities. The position directs and coordinates day-to-day field operations for projects with a wide variety of unique requirements, with a strong emphasis on civil specialties including mass grading, site earthworks, building demolition, environmental remediation, grading and vegetation removal, stormwater infrastructure, wet utilities, on and offsite roadways, bridges, and substation pad construction. This individual serves as the single point of contact for Early Works construction, managing scope, schedule, budget, and communications while driving safe, high-quality project delivery in alignment with organizational standards and executive expectations. Job Responsibilities: Provide on-site construction management of Early Works construction activities across assigned sites Develop, manage, and report on scope, schedule, budget, and budget controls to executive teams Serve as the project single point of contact for Early Works construction and communicate delivery status and progress Coordinate meetings and activities of vendors, cost managers, and integration of lessons learned Participate in and drive partner engagement, communications plans, and community events Support regulatory agency, stakeholder, and community engagement activities and negotiations for new builds and existing facilities Manage and advocate for safe worksites by adhering to organizational and industry safety procedures Review prior audit results and relevant legislation to recommend and manage safety compliance Provide regular internal reporting of project status and costs to meet KPIs and budget requirements Establish and communicate risk mitigation goals and develop metrics, dashboards, and scorecards to drive progress Present and report safety and security goals and progress to regional executive leadership Assist in the management of vendors and report on vendor performance to ensure compliance with policies, contracts, and prior audit results Monitor and refine long-range and short-term plans to drive project delivery Manage and control project schedules, costs, and the flow of communication across all project stakeholders Requirements: 10 or more years of demonstrated experience in mass grading and related civil construction management 7 or more years of progressive responsibility in the development and delivery of complex capital projects and programs 7 or more years of construction program and project management experience in the United States, including cross-coordination amongst disciplines Experience with mission critical facilities or large-scale construction projects 10 or more years of fluency in MS Office Suite tools and related project management systems Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, plus 10 or more years of related experience, or equivalent experience Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation preferred Strong background in project and construction management with the ability to work in a dynamic and global organization Demonstrated expertise in mass grading project construction management, with experience on projects involving no less than 4 million cubic yards of soil General knowledge and experience with a broad variety of construction means and methods Strong desire to continually learn and innovate within a fast-paced environment Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes Self-starter with a process-minded and collaborative approach to work Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in business English; additional regional languages are a plus Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships with internal and external teams Demonstrated track record of creative problem solving and the ability to push past barriers to achieve full project execution Additional Details: Location: Reno, NV (Onsite) Duration: 17 months Pay Range*: $86.50 - $98 per hour Weekly Schedule: 40 hours Job Status: Non-Exempt Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration.
