Facility Maintenance Supervisor Overview A growing cannabis manufacturing and production company is seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to oversee facility operations, preventative maintenance programs, and a team of Maintenance Technicians. This role is responsible for ensuring all building systems and infrastructure remain operational to support day-to-day production activities. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the daily work of Maintenance Technicians. Assign and prioritize maintenance work orders. Oversee inspections and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, roofing, security, and other building systems. Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for facility and mechanical equipment. Manage maintenance records, supplies, and contractor relationships. Monitor utility usage and support building automation and energy management initiatives. Partner with operations and engineering teams on facility improvement projects. Qualifications 3+ years of facility, industrial, or building maintenance experience. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Experience in cannabis, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, food production, pharmaceutical, or other industrial environments preferred. HVAC certification preferred. Salary $55000 - $75000 USD per year Required Skills - Must be at least 21 years old - 5+ years of hands-on facility maintenance experience, including supervising or leading a small team - Proven experience with HVAC/R systems, electrical troubleshooting, and basic plumbing repairs - EPA 608 certification (or equivalent) for refrigerants and safe HVAC handling - Demonstrated ability to read schematics and maintenance manuals and use standard hand and power tools - Experience implementing and executing preventive maintenance programs and work-order systems - Solid knowledge of OSHA safety standards and facility safety program implementation - Experience managing vendors, contractors, and small capital projects - Strong documentation skills for SOPs, maintenance logs, and compliance records - Ability to perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces) and work flexible hours, including occasional nights/weekends for emergencies - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - Able to pass required background checks and state cannabis industry employee authorization Desired Skills - Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic asset management - EV/energy efficiency, LEED, or sustainability project experience - Basic welding, fabrication, or HVAC system design experience - Forklift certification and safe industrial vehicle operation experience - Project management experience (scheduling, budgeting, vendor negotiations) - Experience training and mentoring technicians and building high-performing teams - Comfortable using Excel, Google Workspace, and simple automation/IoT monitoring tools - Bilingual (Spanish/English) or other language skills for cross-team communication FlowerHire is a small, values-driven company that partners with marquee cannabis brands across North America.
