Summary/Objective
Job candidate would be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing or replacing PLC controllers, and electrical components used in industrial automated systems in food processing facility. Must have computer skills and a complete understanding of Ladder Logic.

Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of all production and plant equipment. Must be proficient in your ability to troubleshoot and program PLC Controllers, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Drives. Maintain and / or modify PLC controllers and software programs as required using a personal computer or laptop. Tests and replaces electrical components such as electronic drives, relays, switches, sensors, printed circuit boards, temperature controllers, and related electronic equipment. Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, blowers, and lighting fixtures. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for new and existing machinery. Plan, lay out and install a variety of complicated electrical equipment controls and wiring pertaining to plant or production machinery. Work out installation details, wire complicated circuits with large number of connections. Make standard tests, adjust as required. Maintenance Superintendent, Maintenance Lead, Mechanics, and Electricians, as assigned or directed in making general repairs, new installations, and troubleshooting of PLC driven equipment. Assist in the instruction and training of all electronic equipment as required. Work closely with - and make recommendations to Production/Maintenance Managers as it relates to production machinery upgrades or improvements. Responsibilities also include assisting mechanics / electricians with general maintenance activities on food processing equipment. Availability for emergency call-in on weekends and after hours for production or plant related emergencies. Follows prescribed safety regulations and procedures. Maintains area and equipment in an orderly manner, reporting unusual conditions to proper supervision. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. Required Skills/Abilities:Must demonstrate proficiency of PLC and electrical related tasks within the first 90 days of employment.
Education and Experience: Technical training and experience in PLC programming and electrical work. Strong PC skills required, including PLC programming & troubleshooting. Strong drives, controls, motors and PLC application knowledge Excellent skills for troubleshooting relay & PLC controlled machines Good interpersonal skills to effectively interface independently or as a team to achieve common goals Excellent oral and written communication is essential Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision Physical Requirements:- Work Environment : This position operates in a food manufacturing facility where seafood is processed. The environment may include exposure to heat / cold, humid, and wet conditions , with temperatures ranging from refrigerated areas (010C / 3290F) to standard ambient factory settings.
- Physical Demands :
- Prolonged standing and walking for the majority of the shift (up to 812 hours).
- Regular stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching .
- Occasional climbing of stairs and accessing elevated platforms or workstations.
- Frequent handling of wet and/or slippery materials and surfaces.
- Manual dexterity and use of both hands for repetitive tasks.
- Lifting Requirements : Ability to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25-50 lbs (11-23 kg) as needed.
- PPE & Safety : Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, hairnets, waterproof aprons, non-slip footwear, Arc Flash PPE, and hearing or eye protection as required. Compliance with all health, food safety, and occupational safety standards is mandatory.
- Sensory Demands : May involve exposure to strong odors associated with seafood.
