Senior Construction Estimator Location: Columbus, OH Job Type: Full time Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr Construction Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a wide range of projects at various stages of design. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously. There is a clear path to being the Estimating Director. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed and accurate budgets for projects at conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction document phases. Develop competitive hard bids for plan and specification-based projects. Conduct value engineering analysis to optimize cost efficiency without compromising design intent. Manage and prioritize multiple estimates across various project types and sizes. Present estimates and budgets to clients, including comprehensive backup documentation. Collaborate effectively with designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and accuracy. Qualifications: Proven experience as a construction estimator in commercial construction (retail, office, education, or healthcare projects preferred). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimating principles. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Salary & Benefits: Paying up to $150k base (dependant on experience) + 10% bonus
