Civil Engineer Salary: 180k Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer IV to join our team. This role requires a fully competent engineer with the ability to exercise independent judgment, evaluate and select solutions, and implement substantial modifications to standard designs. The Civil Engineer IV will be responsible for devising new approaches to complete assignments and ensuring the successful execution of multiple complex projects. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior engineers and designers, overseeing project coordination across disciplines, and potentially serving as a Project Manager for specific assignments. Reporting Structure: Reports to: Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Supervising Engineer Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of eight (8) years of engineering experience; OR Master's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of six (6) years of engineering experience. Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is required. Key Responsibilities: Obtain and maintain Professional Engineer registration in the necessary states for assigned projects. Mentor and guide less-experienced Engineers and Designers. Assist the Project Manager in the technical, administrative, budgetary, and scheduling aspects of assigned projects. Support the generation and maintenance of project schedules. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and business-related matters. Travel domestically as required to meet with clients and visit job sites to ensure project success. Help ensure that project costs remain within budget constraints. Provide regular reports to management on project status, budget, and schedule adherence. Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects. Supervise Drafters, Designers, and Technicians, and may direct other Engineers as assigned by the Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager. Assist with or lead presentations to existing or potential clients to support business development efforts. Prepare reports and provide strategic support to management in planning for company growth and direction. Qualifications: Meets all qualifications of an Engineer III. Demonstrated ability to act as Engineer of Record and seal drawings when required. Assist Project Manager with performance evaluations of junior Drafters and Designers. Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is mandatory.
