About the Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Mechanic to join our Centerra Langeloth team. This position is an onsite role based in Langeloth, PA, with responsibility for repairs and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. This role must also maintain a high standard of safety and housekeeping.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment in a state of good repair by examining machinery for defects in operation and locating faulty parts by listening to machines while running and or other methods based on mechanical knowledge.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, reassemble, and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices while troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts while also performing a wide variety of maintenance duties including, but not limited, to welding burning, pipe fitting, plumbing fabrication, screw conveyors, sheet metal work, drill press, grinders, moving heavy machinery parts using rigging and lifting aids, hydro-cones and various crushing equipment, etc.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Frequently climbs ladders, stairs, and operates forklifts manlifts and other motorized equipment.
  • Working in hot cold and dirty conditions frequently.
  • Required to record parts usage job summary upon completion of duties.

About You

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in pump mechanics.
  • Welding certifications in pressure vessels and or piping.
  • Proficient in tig welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
