The General Maintenance Mechanic will perform a wide variety of duties essential to the manufacture of chemical products while consistently adhering to all established safety and operating procedures.

Essential Functions

  • installation, mechanical repair, & preventative maintenance of rotating equipment, piping & valves which may include: pipe welding, brazing and/or heavy equipment operation.
  • Write work orders and obtain needed parts and supplies within the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Assist in coordinating activities with other co-workers, supervisors, and operations personnel.
  • Support and encourage a strong HSE and team environment
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company's core values, competencies, and skills.

Education Qualifications

  • Required High School or Equivalent

Experience Qualifications

  • Required 3+ years journeyman-level maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred chemical manufacturing experience, apprenticeship and/or UA welding certification

Skills and Abilities

  • demonstrated ability to install, repair, and/or maintain rotating equipment, piping, and/or valves
  • pipefitting, welding & heavy equipment operation experience a plus
