General Laborer (Roll Change Dept) Night Shift

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION (10 pm - 6 am OR 8 pm - 6 am, Sunday - Thurs nights. Some Friday nights as scheduled).****It is a straight night shift position, NOT a swing shift position. **MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE IS A "PLUS", BUT NOT REQUIRED. WE WILL TRAIN. The Roll Change Laborer will support Franklin Industries by understanding customer needs and their respective job duties. They will work to provide support by demonstrating dedication to quality, quantity, and safety. The Roll Change Laborer will perform a variety of duties to support the production functions of Franklin Industries. They will also check parts and the process for the rolls and ensure parts are in proper working condition for efficiencies. The Roll Change Laborer will be responsible for assisting welders and rollers for setups, and Mill production.**Duties and Responsibilities**- Assist in set-up of mill department for workday.- Change rolls out as needed.- Clean the scale and metal scraps out of the mill area.- Clean out the pit areas in the department.- Assist in readying rolls, guides, and housing.- Assist Guide Setter and Group leader.**Qualifications**- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Ability to multi-task and work with a high degree of accuracy- Ability to work in a safe manner.**Working conditions (if applicable)**- This is a safety-sensitive position. You will be around and/or operating heavy machinery.- Shop environment -- temperatures could vary.- PPE required includes gloves, hardhat, hearing protection, safety boots, FR clothing, and safety glasses.**Physical requirements (if applicable)**- This job requires upper body strength to use heavy tools.- Ability to use hammers, wrenches, and other tools.- Work in close quarters.- Work in confined spaces.- Ability to reach within hands/arm's length, stoop, kneel and crouch.- Ability to climb in, on and off and work around equipment.- Ability to frequently lift 5-75 pounds; occasionally lift more than 75 pounds.- Ability to perform repetitive motion activities.**Essential Job Functions**- Attendance at work- Ability to use hand tools.- Ability to read and interpret safety procedures.- Be able to follow work procedures and instructions both written and verbal.- Ability to collaborate well with other team members, performing work in a safe manner.**Machines/Equipment used for Position:**- Grinder- Dump Truck- Pneumatic tools- Hand tools- Grease gun- Sump pump- Ladders**Other duties as assigned.****How to apply:**Click **, select a resume, then click *Continue* to **email** your resume to the Employer from *Careerlink*.
