Verdantas is hiring a Structural Engineer III to support our expanding Newmarket, NH, structural team. This position will assist project managers and other members of our team with structural engineering design for residential, commercial, municipal, and institutional projects.
Responsibilities:
- Structural design of municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects
- Complete drafting of engineering designs using Autodesk products, including AutoCAD and Revit
- Prepare reports related to structural engineering projects
- Perform both hand and computer-assisted calculations required for structural designs
- Use of design software related to the projects assigned. Proficient in RISA, RAM, Enercalc, and numerous timber design software
- Construction Services, including but not limited to: site visits, site reports, RFIs, change orders, and submittal reviews
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or related field
- 4-8 years of professional experience in the practice of structural engineering in New England or a similar setting
- PE License in NH, with license in VT and ME preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD design software
- Experience with wood, structural steel, and reinforced concrete design
- Sound understanding of structural engineering fundamentals
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to complete fieldwork
- Valid drivers license
- Experience with structural design software
- Experience managing projects, writing proposals, and billing is preferred, but not required
