Industrial Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team. This position involves maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, including disassembling and assembling mechanical components, conducting vibration analysis, and collaborating with maintenance teams to ensure optimal operation. Responsibilities Replace defective parts of machines and equipment, adjusting clearances and alignment of moving parts. Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs. Connect power units to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test units for mechanical operation. Repair and lubricate machines and equipment. Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools. Disassemble, clean, inspect, and complete inspection reports, including recommended repairs of machinery and equipment. Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blueprints and schematic drawings. Signal crane operators to lower basic assembly units to bedplates and align units to centerlines. Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments. Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly units using hand tools and power tools. Assemble machines and fasten them to foundations or other structures using hand tools and power tools. Lay out mounting holes using measuring instruments and drill holes with power tools. Attach parts such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals to basic assembly units. Level bedplates and establish centerlines using straightedges, levels, and transits. Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools. Shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels using portable gas heating equipment. Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation sites, performing installation and maintenance as part of a team. Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel. Perform routine data collection on machinery using vibration analysis tools. Analyze vibration data to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of machine health. Provide detailed reports on findings and recommend maintenance actions. Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance. Perform field and in-house balancing of rotating equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
