We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Facilities & Construction team. This role will focus on supporting both new construction projects and the ongoing maintenance and improvement of existing buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction processes, technical project coordination, and facilities maintenance support.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in developing detailed project plans, construction schedules, and budgets for new builds, remodels, and major maintenance projects.
- Monitor construction and repair work to confirm it meets company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Track and report on project expenditures, work with vendors on pricing, and support efforts to keep projects on budget.
- Identify and address construction or maintenance-related issues quickly and effectively, proposing solutions that align with timelines and budget.
- Act as a point of contact between contractors, vendors, internal departments, and local authorities to ensure clear and timely communication.
- Support the coordination of building repairs, equipment upgrades, and facility modifications, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation including construction drawings, specifications, permits, RFIs, change orders, and inspection reports.
- Provide on-site and remote technical guidance throughout the project lifecyclehelping ensure that construction and maintenance work meets scope, code, and quality requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of relevant project engineering experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
