About the Job

This role is responsible for structuring, planning, coordinating, and facilitating high-impact cross-functional initiatives and business projects that support MLCs strategic plan. Projects may be related to growth, productivity, cost reduction, efficiency, etc.

Note: This is not a project engineering position or an administrative role.

  • Own and drive strategic projects from concept to completion, ensuring value creation and alignment with MLC strategy.
  • Partner with executive sponsors, business leaders and subject matter experts to create project charter, shape objectives, define scope, and establish KPIs and success criteria in alignment with business priorities.
  • Serve as a liaison between executive sponsors, Leadership Team, functional/project execution teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communications and ensure project engagement. Effectively establish and manage project expectations across a variety of constituents.
  • Create detailed project plans and schedules to ensure timely execution while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to align teams and escalate project risks and blockers.
  • Facilitate the translation of technical project requirements into clear business cases.
  • Track and report on progress against milestones, budgets, and deliverables. Conduct regular updates with key stakeholders (project sponsors, Leadership Team, project leads, etc.). Review status reports prepared by project team and modify schedules or plans as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business administration or related field required. Project Management Certification (PMP or CAPM) strongly preferred
  • Experience: Requires at least seven years of direct experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects with measurable strategic impact. Experience in chemical manufacturing sector preferred. Functional experience with strategy deployment methodologies such as Hoshin Kanri, X-Matrix, or Balanced Scorecard preferred. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles is a plus.
  • Skills: Managing large-scale change in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Proficiency with project management tools and technology (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent). Demonstrated success leading strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives. Skilled in data analysis and synthesis to support decision-making.
  • Abilities and Behaviors: Strong business acumen, systems thinking, and strategic mindset. Proficiency in leadership, facilitation, influencing, and collaboration. Excellent oral and written communications. Strong relationship-building ability across all levels of an organization.
