DEA's Civil Engineering group is hiring a Project Engineer/EngineeringDesigner to support our Land Development Business Unit. Under supervision ofassigned Project Engineer(s), this individual will perform work insupport of a variety of residential and commercial land development projects.As part of a design team, will contribute to the development of stormwatermanagement, utility and roadway designs, including construction documentsand all supporting documentation. This position will be working with all ouroffices and can work remotely. Preferred location is the Puget Sound Area.Position Duties:Apply civil engineering principles to assigned projects, either as a teamleader or functioning independently.Create a design plan and lead specification production on a wide variety ofprojects which include site layouts, horizontal and vertical control,grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civilengineering activitiesLead the preparation of water quality reports and drainage studies inlcudingthe associated hydraulic and hydrologic calculations.Perform calculations, specifications and proposal preparation, andpermitting applicationsSchedule projects (understanding, creating, modifying, identifying thecritical path), prepare and review cost estimates, and client coordinationExecute complex assignments utilizing judgment in evaluation, selection,and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresDevise new approaches to problems encounteredInterface with clients and public agenciesMay supervise project staff with the ability to mentor junior staffBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 4 years relevant design experience related to Land Developmentprojects consisting of commercial, residential, public works,institutional, or industrialDemonstrated experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineering License8 years of land development design experienceLEED AP CertificationBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceHealth Savings and Lifestyle Spending Account with employer contributionSupport for continuing education and training opportunitiesPaid Time Off (PTO)/Holiday Pay401kFlexible 9/80 (every other Friday off) work scheduleHolistic Wellbeing Program with a focus on physical, emotional,financial, career and community healthOpportunity for growth with support and mentoring to help with professionalgoalsAnticipated salary range is $85,000 - $105,000 based on applicable experienceLand Development Jobs with DEA:Dave Evans built a successful professional services consulting firm based onhis skill in designing residential communities.
